Property me in this case (optimal in the SSD version) a Samsung SSD installed (840EVO 1TB) and connected using the supplied cable to my iMac via USB 3.0 (there is a Late 2012 iMac 21.5 "and normal internal 1TB hard drive, which is very slow).

Have on the SSD with the "Disk Utility" a "Journaled" MacOS partition created and OSX 10.9.5, and installed all my programs. My iMac now starts off like a rocket, programs are in a few seconds open (also FinalCutX and other expensive software).

The "Blackmagic Design" speed test software provides better results as promised by the Cabinet Manufacturer:

420.5 MB / s write and
Read 435.2 MB / s

(The 5 GB stress test determined)
