Works quite well in itself. Using a flash bracket and this cable I could make out of the Mecablitz 64 AF-1 flash a rod on my Oly. But evil case: the second "hot shoe" on the cable goes very tight. It is believed erroneously, the Lightning had already engaged before the safety pin has jumped into the opening provided. Here are original Oly flashes (I've got it out of curiosity with the FL-300 tested) particularly bad. Consequence: the flash can fire, but it does not communicate with the camera instead, because the smaller contact pins not touch the contacts on the "hot shoe". The flash burns then "full blast" and produced totally overexposed images. Check first before snapping So whether the locking pin is properly locked in the "hot shoe" of the cable !!! Then everything checks out. However, the instructions could be improved: * at the risk described above is not mentioned, * the Manual is completely outdated and speaks of a FL-40 of 1999, which has long been not made by Olympus. Olympus, Olympus! So a negligence in the high purchase price! Therefore only 4 points. The deserved it, because quality and workmanship are top.
