I installed a server with 4 discs 4T0 and two servers each with 4 disks of 2TB to reuse external USB drives that I had. The result is great they consume little, silent, powerful enough to turn XPenology and Plex media server. I and 3 multimedia server for my photos and video and audio media. I'm glad. No need to connect a monitor, except during installation, no need to connect a USB keyboard except, it appears, to activate the 5th SATA interface in the BIOS, that I have not done yet. I flashed the BIOS but I see no difference. The system is on a USB stick plugged into the motherboard. At first I bought a single server and placed my 8 2TB drives in Sharkoon bay connected to the server via the eSATA interface, but it was not working. The Sharkoon bay was recognized via USB, but not SATA, perhaps because of having set the BIOS correctly. So I returned the Sharkoon bay and have replaced with 2 additional N54L servers. Used as a NAS server, the N54L is ample, and much more powerful than some packaggés NAS servers. I also tried Freenas and it worked perfectly. Regarding Xpenology, use the proper distribution for the network interface is recognized, the tutorials available on the Internet provide good links.
