The principle of the feeders is very simple:
From the moment you switch runs a timer every 24 hours can then rotate the feed drum once, in which case food gets into the aquarium. This means that you have to turn on at exactly the time the machines when needs to be fed regularly, because unfortunately there is no programmable Schaltzeituhr.
So Alternatively, the machine can also be set so that it another 6 hours later makes a further circulation from the startup, then a day each 2 feeding intervals are possible.
The amount of feed is set directly on a rocker on the feed drum, you can only vary the size of the exit port here. So it's possible no binding statement about the actual issuing amount of feed. This varies greatly from feed to food, which is used. The most reliable in my opinion it works with granulated food. Flake food should be previously rubbed something because it may effect a feed jam. Problems with humidity but I could not find so far, since the drum opening immediately rotates upwards, ie no humidity of the aquarium is exposed.
The unit is completely sufficient for leave periods up to 2 weeks. If the fish are fed sparingly during this time, it does not hurt.
For those who really want to make an automatic feeder for use every day, this unit is definitely not recommended. Holiday cover it just fine.
