Good instrument with only minor weaknesses

First the positive points:
+ The device works flawlessly since day
+ The results seem plausible to me
+ Upload and store the data works fine (tested with Windows XP, 7 and 8)
+ The device is compact and can be easily taken along on trips.
+ The device has a recommendation of the German Hypertension Society

Now, the small disadvantages:
- Battery life could be longer.
Is probably partially send the to owe backlit display ..
- The device is not dustproof. Due to the principle the device draws air from the outside to inflate the cuff.
After some time, dust accumulates on the screen and on the windscreen (more on that later).
- Holding a backup battery or capacitor which date and time, while the batteries are replaced thoughtfully.

- The PC software (currently 1.6;! Stand 2012) works, sometimes gives the impression that here hobbyists were at work.
Annoying is, for example, that the software has a fixed window size and the "Maximize" icon has no function.
My laptop screen is used in width and height only halfway.
The software first asks for a user, even if only one is specified ...
Last but not least: The operating philosophy is a little peculiar, echoing software products from Asia.
Otherwise, other users have complained already about defects zBbeim editing.

Conclusion Software: Not pretty but usable. I refer to the PC solution; there is now apparently an online version, which I have not yet tested.

For dust: After three years of use, the sleeve were no longer beautiful and the unit looked with its dust collection on the display no longer good. I thought about a new cuff or equal to buy a new device, but made before the following test:

Wash and dry the sleeve with warm soapy water vorschichtig manually. => The signs of wear are of course not gone, but the cuff looks otherwise good again. I will therefore not replace first time.
Then removed from the device, the batteries, cut the seal and remove the two screws. The housing can be opened easily and then remove the dust with a lens cloth and matching cleaner. The assembly and test were then done in two minutes.

A small warning behooveth me: I have a relevant professional background and nontechnical contemporaries had better refrain from such an action, the finger. But everyone must make with yourself ....

Conclusion about everything: I would buy the unit in spite of the small weaknesses again.
