The killer album "Tragic Idol" is one year old and still amazing, since the British Paradise Lost come with a rarities CD therefore - "Tragic Illusion 25 (The Rarities)". These are B-sides and cover songs, but unfortunately, not all but a selection. I think of EPs and Maxis as "Sealse The Sense" (1004) where the unreleased "The Sweetness" and was "Your Hand In Mine" in a live version on it! This also applies to many other singles, which is a shame, and perhaps might be due to the previous label. I personally find singles with one or two new songs anyway as a waste of space on my shelf. So we have to give us 55 minutes of music satisfied! They celebrate as well as quasi least 25 years of Gothic Metal pioneers. Plus, there's the new track "Loneliness Remains" a very classic PL number with heart. In addition, it has re-recorded the old pods "Gothic" and "Our Saviour", which did not have to be, but to vilify without the songs. The other items are good typical PL songs that sound neither like pop or after something hüftlahmen phase of the band. From this comes the only highly original cover songs "Missing" and "Never Take Me Alive". Well, I think the variety in terms of singing Mr. Holms which is indeed still measured by some of his image as a "grunt". The last album was, of course, better than those released here and yes I would have gladly ne desired triple CD, but rather a rare CD of Paradise Lost as an album of many bands out there! Fans of the Combo can strike without hesitation.
