Grandiose SACD

Did not hesitate with the purchase of Slowhand long and read some reviews on the net about it.
Especially that the SACD "muddy" should sound has long prevented me from buying - what a fatal mistake in hindsight.
The SACD has both stereo and 5.1 surround. I rate here but only the 5.1 mix.

I'm actually not a big fan of Clapton, but what is happening here really is a feast for the ears.

Especially the track "The Core" has given special attention to detail in the mix. So the basic rhythm was also placed on the Rears and so provides a match to the Fronts (but not throughout, but only if the basic part starts again). This gets the recording a real live feel. It is believed almost one sits amid the receiving space. Now use this track as a reference for SACD when company comes. As are all literally speechless.

Only the first track "Cocaine" can start to look at the Subwoover wander whether this is because even switched on. Somehow it sounds at first like an old FM radio. But then unfolds and this song to the true feast for the ears.

The SACD this "muddy" sound I can not confirm.

Simply put, must-have for every SACD collection.
