These cables I immediately ordered with: As I have previously read on the net you have to change a setting for connecting to an iMac or Macbook similar age in the monitor. There is the default DP 1.2. This must be changed to 1.1. Otherwise notify the monitor that no cable is connected. However, in order to be able to call up the menu on the monitor any signal must be present at one of the entrances! So there must be, temporarily, any device can be connected to an HDMI or DVI interface. I had a DVI to HDMI cable and an old Mac Mini. So the connected short and therefore I could change the setting. After that connect the iMac as normal and voila. The only drawback: The image of the Acer seems to be much brighter and richer in contrast than the iMac.
