Pinnacle PCTV To Go (Basic / Ethernet), called the "box" hereinafter, a device which feeds an incoming TV signal in the network. The box itself has no dedicated tuner !!!

This IR blaster cable to connects to the box and tape them so the receiver that the two infrared transmitters are aimed at the infrared receiver on the receiver, because as a remote control is simulated. It sounds now quite complicated, but it is not. I could not tell where his infrared receiver is on my receiver. So I have one of the IR blaster transmitters center-left and the other centered stuck right -> and it works!
Logically, therefore, raises the next question: "How does the box which infrared signal for which key on the remote control is?". When configuring the box you have one chance between different remote controls and different classes of devices to choose (TV, VCR, DVD player, DVD recorder, etc.). Is again expected the device does not exist, as in my case, is a naturally helped. There is a configuration option called "IR learning". Sounds very complicated, but it is not and also is an extra leaflet with detailed instructions, in the delivery.
When IR learning remote control any key, which you also want to use, the box must be taught. There are many pre-defined buttons that can be assigned. I demonstrate it by means of an example: I want to save the "OK" button in my box. Then I click OK learn button, holding the remote server before the extra 1-2cm existing infrared receiver of the box and press on the remote control for about 1 second, the "OK" button, right after saying the configuration program of the box: "OK saved". Now, if you open the TV program, is at the bottom right a button on the remote control is displayed. By pressing it, a remote control with which you can switch to using the box, the receiver appears.
Additional white characteristics:
o On each box can be connected and operated only one device at the same time.
o You can receive the TV program the box to multiple PCs simultaneously, it can at the same time no different TV channels are watched.
o I had my box connected directly to the router and did in the whole house WLAN (54Mbit), works flawlessly!
o So simple I have never taken. Press "record" .... press "end" and the Pickup directory, everything is ready. No jerking, no stuttering ... NOTHING!
o Simply press "Pause", go to the toilet and continue watching. If you have forgotten what it was just, simply put few minutes back and well. Timeshifting is running with all the time!
o It is also possible via the Internet on the box to look at home. An adjustment is only necessary: The box must be given a remote name. As far as the router to which the box is connected, on the Internet, the Pinnacle server automatically finds its box and you can watch from anywhere (no port forwarding required!)
Disadvantage:
If you switch on the computer, on the digital remote control, the receiver switches to immediately. You can see it when you look at the receiver, or operates a normal TV still on the receiver. By recode in the box and feeding, but delayed it always 1-2 seconds. One therefore sees everything added 1-2 sec. Man to .... 2 sec turns .... and then the image switches only.
I am very pleased with the box and look at both the evening in bed using a laptop, as well as passing on the computer remotely. I would buy me time and again, things is not easy!
