Unfortunately, I realized that the Milestone unlike the Droid from the same manufacturer has a massive limitation: it can not have its own basic software: be uploaded (technically bootloader & kernel). This means that much of the improvements to the Droid are not applicable at Milestone. Also fixes to the system, which are carried out worldwide in the Open Source principle of users have become so impossible.
So the alarm, for example, is defective in the current software version. The alarm clock wakes partially after several hours, which is not very funny, of course, on a business trip. The problem could have been resolved on the same day by programmers if Motorola had not built this artificial barrier. So you have to wait for months for a solution to Motorola finally distributed a solution through their mills slow (if at all).
In summary: Motorola, you've wasted your chance! Anyone who looks around at Droid forums, what will be done with this unit, can only shake his head about this castration of Milestone! I urge an immediate remedy, before I can recommend this device to people who would happily also with an iPhone!
