Gameplay:
Here falls on a relatively fast that absolution something plays different from its predecessors.
Above all (and that's one of the things that are often criticized in the game): panels now fly very quickly when people running with the same clothes on the way. This can be offset with the new instinct function somewhat, but it is a limited availability, when you play at higher levels of difficulty.
Me personally it sucks at times also, because you have to be alert and avoid the time that you run the wrong people too close to the road. That blows up a camouflage so happens very often. Who does not wish to a nearly perfect score, which can be easily put away a unmasking and the person concerned knock and hide. Unlike the old parts there to make them disappear for killed or stunned enemies ample chests and cabinets. And that is sorely needed, because even if you someone knocks out (the anesthetic there is no longer what I still sorely miss) rather than to kill him, you get minus points, which can thus balance out, by hiding those (which one is the same score well written back).
Must emphasize positive while you consider the fact that in this context, the interaction with the environment has increased significantly. If I for example crouch behind a desk, I can a guard standing in front of pull over the counter and either unconscious choking or neck break (which kill more natural point deduction brings). Will I uncovered, I can only times pretend I'd give up and then knock down the opponent in closer touch of a button. Or I wait behind a corner and strike at the right moment, when someone comes into my field of vision, etc.! Here then come sometimes also quick-time events, in which I have to press the correct key as quickly as possible.
The fact that you can now only save at checkpoints, one might well be regarded as a step backwards. Although you had in the old parts in higher difficulties sparingly with the memory points, but in Absolution you have extremely frequently play before you reach the next checkpoint by some passages.
Especially annoying that fact, if you come to a point where you have to wait until an opponent disappears and you can move on. Because the bad guys keep also like to have a chat with each other, what one then knows sometime by heart.
But I think that comes only to bear the highest fun factor of the game, if you really trying to accomplish a mission completely undetected and thereby wreak as little collateral damage. In those moments you simply really be the true Hitman, who carries on his job to perfection and does not make mistakes feels. It simply gets this "badass feeling": silently come, get the job done, quietly disappear. Geil!
What also stands out: There are now also missions in which it never comes to eliminate a target person, but simply untentdeckt to flee. In fact even relatively early in the game. This mission is quite long and then splits into several parts, at the end you get a total score.
I miss a bit the newspaper clippings from Blood Money, the good summarizing again, as one has made in the mission and somehow gave the feeling of all the people to carry out duly by the nose. Can you get over but, as it also did not give the still in the older parts.
What made me very happy: the PC control via mouse and keyboard is completely knotless, which is not a foregone conclusion. For I have unfortunately noticed increasingly in various other games that appeared for multi-platforms that for the PC version (which mostly sells significantly worse than the console versions) existed a control in which you could feel it clear that she was especially tailored to the requirements of a gamepad and have only received a "porting" PC gamers. All the more, I am pleased that has placed on Square Enix value that PC gamers can actually play the advantages of a keyboard and mouse. Excellent!
Graphic / presentation / Sound:
The graphics are beyond reproach. The levels are full of detail, the lighting effects and textures are great and on a very high level. Our bald friend and all opponents have outstanding move absolutely smooth. Better it is currently just do not! Computer players with a medium to high-end PC the upscale class also can look forward to an even better graphics than Konsoleros splendor. Here the current generation of consoles just can not quite keep up, but this is understandable: PS3 and Xbox360 move on their end to. Also sound technically there is nothing to complain about.
Conclusion:
Hitman Absolution met my expectations to the newest part of the ice-cold assassin. Although there are a few gameplay changes that do not always turn out positive, the game presents a whole but a worthy successor. The new instinct feature facilitates the aufspühren of important objects and gives helpful advice in all kinds of situations, which is clearly better than its predecessors, where you often had no indication how it goes now. On the other hand, is also the basis of instinct places frustrating moments where again the camouflage blows up because it is empty.
Nevertheless, the old feel of the predecessor is retained and also ensures the very attractive technical presentation for a brilliant atmosphere.
I can recommend the game for those who apart from the clumsy action sequences ala Call of Duty sometimes your brain want to try something and are willing to bring some patience. It is worth to ^^
