Now we had soooo long to wait for a new album and it was clear that I pre-order it directly to me, because I just miss his incomparable voice. Which reminds me that his "old" song "Missing" is one of my favorite songs.
This new album is by his old in anything. The lyrics are really beautiful and well thought out, get under your skin, stir desire, but they operate at the same time. There are funny songs ("can happen to us nothing" and "So it does not make fun"), but also very, very emotional. Goosebumps have brought me such songs "On the ground". This is certainly also the fact that it is a duet with Dania King. I am of the opinion that love songs are more authentic when they are just sung by men and women.
"I have made fire" and "We all have something to say" have great messages that are internalized rapidly. The "Little story of Elvira Madigan" has made me cry, like love ends generally indeed do most.
And how different the songs are, so they also have one thing in common: the distinctive purple-Schulz-factor, where you just want to sing and mitwippen.
I feel totally transported back to the 90s and it feels so good to get back to feel a bit "at home". I think Purple could sing me the manual of my DVD player and I would love it! ;-)
Thank Purple that you / you give me / have given us the experience after so many years!
So, I'm now off. Must have the lyrics to memorize, so that I can sing all the songs quickly! I love it!
