It commends Barbra's work as a musical singer (where yes its roots), film actress and of course singer of pop and disco songs.
Actually unbelievable that Barbra, known among other things for recordings of musical hits, has even played only in two pieces.
Right after "Funny Girl" started we all know, her film career, and indeed precisely with this material ...
So Musical eg "Memory" from "Cats" is represented in the field, film is covered with two songs
(Studio Recording from "The way he makes me feel" of "Yentl" and "The Main Event" from the eponymous film with her former lover Ryan O'Neal) and its largest and most successful career (namely, as a singer) is very good with Songs like the duets represented by and starring Barry Gibb.
"The Main Event / Fight" is a song from the disco era and is similar to the pace of the duet with Donna Summer "No more tears / Enough is enough", which unfortunately is missing here.
In addition to these, I like the first track, namely "We're not makin'love anymore", which I find so exciting and dramatic, Barbra also can develop their full power voice here.
The rousing finale of the compilation is of course "Somewhere". This shows the great Streisand that it (so it) plays with the right package and the presentation by the right artist not matter that this song originally as a duet
Musical "West Side Story" came before and would thus actually of two people to sing.
I had both the time the movie starring Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer (which should not have even sung) and Barbra each goosebumps.
Conclusion: If Barbra loves for their shots at the peak of their work, will also want to have this CD.
