A colleague told me that I would probably switch to HDMI. No sooner said than done: I bought the first TX-SR508 and thought this would all be better. This support, although the so-called. LippSync protocol that this offset should eliminate, unfortunately, could not help with this 300ms.
I've looked at on the Onkyo web site for the larger models and the brand new TX-NR609 found, which can manage up to 800 ms A / V sync. Bought! The unit arrived, I installed it with the A / V Sync and all was well.
Background: the modern 3D TVs require some time in the calculation of the image (certainly varies for different manufacturers). LG has informed me that this is so for all devices, even at the high end models. The sound we processed the receivers usually faster and thereby creates the offset.
What else falls on:
- Full iPod support with direct connection to the front
- Good OSD (OnScrennDisplay) with many settings per channel
- Network ready, therefore integrated Internet-Radio
- Software updates via the Internet
- And of course the usual good sound!
- Ruckel and artifacts free upscaling of DVDs
I would recommend this device without restriction!
