1. Installation:
even the installation was unfortunately bumpier than we thought. I have to preface this, the installation took place on a slightly older Windows 7 laptop with a mobile internet connection, which unfortunately usually only Edge offers. Still, I thought to myself, at least with Windows that should not be a big problem, the CD's while (there is only an indication that the Mac the installation files must be downloaded). So logging in admin, CD in and off you go.
Soon the first disillusionment, the installer loads a lot to from the Internet. Well, let's be patient. It was also relatively fast. The next surprise after the obligatory reboot: Windows still reports no virus scanner. Not installed antivirus software: So in the installed menu. After another restart then came the notice of installation of the virus scanner - and the next disillusionment must be recharged again some - again it says apply patience. Another reboot - but now it looks good. But: when you start the virus scanner does the information that updates must be loaded - and this time more than 100 MB.
All in all, this product requires obviously a considerable extent download - which may in particular at not so fast Internet connections really an ordeal (after just one day of the installation are still not all updates are downloaded).
2. Configuration:
the configuration settings are manageable - on the one hand well, so as not to lose. But again for rather weak Internet connections, there is for example no way to interrupt the regular updating at least or move - with the result that the upgrade process once it starts, the Internet connection completely blocked - only solution: Turn off the connection and a window of time between use the update intervals.
3. In practice:
should he then run once, the virus scanner behaves pleasantly in the background - all test viruses were detected, the manual scanner performance is fine. Unspectacular - but quite wearable on an older computer to date.
4. Conclusion: a good product at ordinary online access - otherwise can be particularly real for Puzzle commissioning - a result of the various stumbling blocks and the associated frustration here in this computer I forgive 3/5.
