Zooropa (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Zooropa is a very interesting panel. It starts with the opener "Zooropa", a very psychedelic number, but fully convinced after repeated listening, then follows "Babyface", perhaps popigste song that the Irish have ever written, but still good. Numb is a very untypical song by U2, which attracts attention with a sounding by industrial rock guitar track with the chant of "The Edge". As a highlight and I would stroke of genius "Lemon" call, in this song, the guitar comes practically anywhere, or was very processed into techno moderate psychedelic sounds, the chorus which goes quickly into the ear occurs a beautiful piano melody. Continuing with Stay, the only number on it because that on "The Joshua Tree" might have been. But anyway it fits on Zooropa, perhaps even one of their best songs of the 90's. "Dady's gonna pay for your crashed car" is quite bleak, but interesting as an experiment. Track 7 "Some days are better than others" shows again the skill of "The Edge's" guitar technique, sometimes it sounds dreamy psychedelic, distorted then resist strongly electronically. "The First Time" is not as demanding as through the whole song always sounded the same tune. "Dirty Day" with good guitar riffs and the experimental design electric anthem "The Wanderer" (sung by Johny Cash) form the perfect bottom of this panel. All in all, Zooropa a melodious plate, but come not manage to connect Achtung Baby and The Joshua Tree. Respect!
