With this 'Queen of the Clouds', Tove LO provides in a kind of pop tinged with a very contemporary electro-dance feeling, what I have heard from more jubilant Ellie GOULDING and last Lissie MAURUS (Back to Forever ). Incredibly sexy voice, sumptuous securities, high-end production ... It's ridiculous and trite to say is grandiose and sometimes even very catchy and almost irresistible .... That, in a declination oriented europop which, if not original in itself nothing, is given here in bespoke an evening dress.
This first album is cut to seduce any lover of pop, fed from the intellectual to the most demanding references to the philistine who seeks only the tubes. Tubes, there is a good package and the first title killer, 'My Gun', is not the most deadly of the lot. For the rest, it's much better than a compilation of tubes ... A disc that I will not forget anytime soon.
