It is not a typical Metallica - Album

To be honest, it just did not knocked me, the new album. Except for St. Anger and Dirty Window, it is simply no longer the famous Metallica - hardness. Insufficient earwigs or songs you want to hear again absolutely. When pushed together riffs and no longer as demanding as ever.
Songs are no longer in two or more parts of their nature (eg as Master of Puppets: quick start, slowly between with solo and then really loud end).
Conclusion:
The album is an easy product of mass media. The songs have simply nothing special anymore.
For fans the enclosed DVD and a T-shirt the album itself is of course worth gold but really not worth buying. Only for really fans a must.
Heavy metal fans (generally) find somewhere more fun with music!
