Conversely, all Pioneer I tested radius offered 8 tapes and poorly calibrated stopping 8khz! Unable to adjust the treble (> 8khz) above ... Yet I had in my hands a Pioneer for a long time, the frequencies of the three bands were adjustable! Maybe a fashion ... passgère pass.
The problem with this MEX5100BT car radio, for me, it was the bluetooth. The pairing worked, as the path of the address book and call history, and the bluetooth music streaming and control the music from the phone via the car radio. Everything worked, almost ... except during a call, I hear nothing and was not heard (test done live with the store clerk).
This may be a specific bug in my phone model (a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini), or a passenger quack requiring phone restarts and / or the radio, yet it missed was rhédibitoire for me to where the 3 stars. I did not ultimately purchased.
Moreover, it sends the paté as they say. For those who have no interest in bluetooth phone while driving (or have a compatible phone with this feature) çe model is best suited to music lovers and audiophiles budding in this price range. To find the same fineness of audio setting after it takes tapper in the Alpine to 250+ or multimedia car radio with 300/400.
- Revision of my comment on 30.05.2015:
Finally I bought this unit in car center (cheaper than on Amazon :)), and finally, I have not had any problems with bluetooth after the purchase unlike what I had observed during My first test in store.
I would add that the magnitude -6 / + 6dB EQ is a bit short to compensate for the lack of acute my original speakers on my C3 II, but I finally changed my speakers for Pioneer TS -A1723I (purchased from Amazon) and the rendering is actually much clearer beyond 10khz. Any reservations I had about this were solved, so I revised my rating of 3 stars to 5 stars.
But beware: the microphone is connected to the car by a wire (the microphone is not in the front of the unit), and thus pass the microphone wire properly between the back of the radio and visor driver's sun is a little headlock in some cars. Moreover it works fine :)
