Huge surprise indeed when reading my favorite novel (Pride and Prejudice) to discover that the previous versions I read in paperback had operated clean cuts in the text !!!
Paragraphs and sentences "censored" do not fundamentally change the story, but you can really wonder about these "withdrawals" that other publishers have practiced.
The pleasure is all, quality of translation, full text and beauty of the work.
As for the author, if you do not know, do you offer or treat yourself this year and if you did not know even exists, what are you waiting !! I envy you the pleasure of discovering that remains unforgettable.
As always in the Pleiades, the introduction and instructions are tasteless, stodgy, a snobbery and an unbearable pedantry. Besides, they are silent (deliberately?) Adaptations to the cinema or on TV in their comments.
Crucial question: Volume 2 is for when ????
