Since my 1000 was badly worn, I have decided to buying new.
The stones are very beautiful. They are slightly larger than my old and thus enable grind something more comfortable. There are two pieces to smooth, so I expect a longer life (otherwise I have the stones rubbed flat against one another).
By Gummifüsse the stones have a eingermassen secure footing. If the ground is very wet, but they slip a little. The second stone was a revelation: The cutting edge of the knife is really polished (mainly through the 8000 grain), so that you can reflect it even. My knives were previously sharp, so I did not think that this can be increased. Now you notice when eg cutting radish no resistance, my knife glide through the material as if by water. It is almost incomprehensible. An overripe tomato can be completely divide without pressure.
