After "A Thousand Suns" Well heck back more to the roots so to "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora" go. However, in advance with the announcement that it is not going to metal.
Just as the title "Burn it Down" sounds can be interpreted this statement as follows: In contrast to "A Thousand Suns" the guitars again not play a greater role, however, as in the first Albem with the lead role. In the foreground is a catchy melody and electronic Chesters singing, accompanied by guitars and inconspicuous diversified loose drums. I welcome the return of the old interplay between Chesters singing and shouts and Mike's Rappassagen. (At least for Burn it Down). All in all the new single sounds quite good, but it's not the Linkin Park, which had dragged me in my youth so.
I have understanding for the fact that a band wants to develop, and that as time goes on I find in Prizip not objectionable (which was ultimately to be expected with Linkin Park). However, I find it very very unfortunate that we have so much from their own and eizigartigen style (where you have to admit here that the "new" Linkin Park sound also in its own way is unique). Not much more I would have expected from Linkin Park to the nu-metal to remain faithful, and for the hip-hop to replace elements of the first albums by electronic influences. So basically what they have put into reverse weighting. Too bad - ultimately, the band has even or especially in this album (if it sounds like the first single) - despite the experiments - can again be accused of the accusation of commercialism.
