Customer Review

Two years I was with a Canon 60D in South America and Asia on the road, have thus photographed on events and worked in the photo lab. A long time I was satisfied, but then all became too large, heavy and cumbersome. I wanted something handy, with just the lenses that I need, all in a format that I can always take with you. Well, after about 3 months with the A6000 I can only say: I have found what I was looking for, and no longer want to go back!

First of all, what fascinated me:

+ I was very skeptical, but the image quality (35mm1.8 and WW Pancake + 2.8 UWW) is also superior 24-105L the hammer and the Canon 60D with 50mm1.4 or far! I had not expected. The lenses have a great performance, the 35mm is exactly what I need for travel, roads and portrait photography. The sharpness, workmanship and quality is superior to the A6000. At maximum aperture minimally weaker, but I can overlook about it. Also, the WW done a superb job, much better than my old Sigma 10-20 on the 60D. So picture quality is to the 60D in anything, even a significant improvement!

+ Autofocus. If you come from a DSLR, you're used to a lot of manual work and control. Of this you have to solve a little to find out the potential of this camera. Manual focus point selection is super awkward in the A6000. They no longer need as well. Autofocus this camera offers an ingenious innovation nämlcih: Eye autofocus! Means that the camera automatically detects a face, eyes and recognize automatically focuses on them! Genial! Not only that, it also exposed automatically to the face or eyes. This is incredibly convenient, it facilitates a lot easier and above all it works perfectly, as long as the face is fairly clearly understood. Previously you had to adjust the focus point correctly, so that the eye targets and still properly exposed on the face, especially in backlit situations or difficult circumstances often just annoying. Once done now the A6000 by itself, reliably and quickly. I could partially after weeks still can not believe how quick and easy it is now. I rarely take pictures of sports or the like, but have never had even in fast-moving problems. Here 500px.com/photo/82349721/oona-by-christian-berger?from=user_library an example. Black white JPG almost OOC, slightly sharpened. Great quality!

+ Size and processing. What can you say. So much quality is packed into so little weight and size just lovely. The processing is knotless, I do not date no shortage noticed. Even the Rosa-stitch, is partially reported here, does not occur to me. The camera fits comfortably in the hand with you here but also a small disadvantage of the smaller size HAT one has his hand after 1 2 hours to photograph but noticeably bent to have the camera well in hand. But well, that's just the way, if you no longer have to handle large a DSLR.

+ The choice of lenses, although may not be huge, but for me this is exactly what I need. In addition I have informed me earlier and was also one of the reasons why I have decided for the camera.

+ The camera is almost completely customizable, you can show all the buttons as you need it and all settings can be reached quickly. Operation is really well resolved.

+ The video function I use, not often, but the quality is absolutely outstanding. Have thus shows filmed on stage with little light and relatively high ISO and the videos are par of a 5dM2 with which filmed a colleague. Crazy how much power is in such a small camera.

However, there are a few small drawbacks:

- During filming, the camera is like to really hot. Well, it was in the summer in Spain, but I had to partially off repeatedly, have the battery taken out and blown because has shown me that I should take a break and wait until the system has cooled down. Well, maybe that works smoothly at normal 20 °.

- The batteries. Three things: First, they are hot quickly, secondly, they go pretty quickly empty and thirdly, it is inconvenient to load it. A charger is not included so you can not invite his second battery if you want to take photographs while still. Cumbersome and MMN not understand why no charger is included. Was with the Nex 7 while still. Have I then bought a 3rd party charger and rechargeable batteries, the charger has unfortunately quickly given up the ghost, for whatever reason, but the batteries are completely OK. Also annoying is that if one takes out the batteries or change the camera when you turn always right long does the first time. So about 10 seconds.

That's it then but even with the negatives.

Conclusion: Super camera. Super quality. Only the thing with the battery a little annoying, but not covered in everyday life so much weight. I think the Mirrorless cameras clearly belongs the future. The electronic viewfinder are actually already very mature so that I do not even miss the optical viewfinder. The image quality is a Canon 60D for example, in every way, is even better. Price, size and processing are just totally fair and reasonable. I've sold my Canon equipment and they did not miss a single time. The A6000 is fun all along the line. Colleagues were especially impressed by the Eye AF. That alone would be a reason to bring me this camera for me. For me, it is precisely because 7 clearly superior to even the Nex again.

Can I therefore recommend the camera? Yes. But that's my opinion and it is best to go earlier times into a store and take it into their own hands. Tastes are well known, I diversities in any case have my "perfect" camera found!
