Junge Roemer (Audio CD)

Customer Review

After the massive hit "Der Kommissar" from 1982 (also to be found on the very successful debut album "Solitary" and worldwide about 7 million copies sold), which was a worldwide success, Falco was in a tight spot and had to produce a new hit album, which is just as interesting for the masses. That he succeeded in 1984 with "Junge Römer" not (although it reaped a gold record), the whole album is full of great songs, but there's no real "hit" which would really reach a top position in the charts can. Lots of great songs that show that Falco his time by more than 10 years has been ahead of time. Find cool electro beats as in "higher than ever" or "daughter" (the album was recorded entirely in the computer, even the drums), quiet pop songs like "No Answer" or "Tutankahmen", or the tango-heavy "Brillantin ' Brutal "until today for me one of the best Falco songs, as well as the ingenious, but often unrecognized," Junge Römer ", sings in the Falco English, German and Italian. This shows all his genius, but you can tell the 9 songs also, that they had to be produced "quickly" to land a sequel. Therefore, they sound a bit cheap manufactures. Many songs to hear something by German Schlager and NDW, but strictly speaking, Falco was back then (still) and it just belonged at the time to make not quite perfect German Music. Nevertheless, an ingenious piece of music history, one of the most brilliant lyrically of all time (!!!) and a very underrated and often misunderstood pop album. It should in any Falco and 80 missing in the fan disk shelf and anyone who likes a good electro beats and high-quality, well-made pop songs, this album should be buy! It is worth it!
