And exactly here starts the problem: I can not compare with a DSLR a "eggs Wollmilchsau" (ZR100). Never is a compact achieve these image quality.
Since I both call my own from Casio's compact, both the EX-FH100 and now the EX-ZR100, I can say that the image quality of the ZR100 best if different, for my taste but is not significantly worse than that of the FH100. For my part I remain more than 90% in Standard Sizes. Therefore a maximum sectional enlargement is more a child application feature for me. Usually I make in such a case from the outset sensible macro shots.
What then prompted me to buy the ZR100 (compared to FH100)?
- Enormous speed, in all respects
- Perfect video mode (quasi a real, full-fledged 2in1 solution with FHD resolution)
- Macro range from 1cm
- Noise performance at higher ISO values (contrary to other reviews: up to ISO 800 are hardly recognizable artifacts in my model).
- Equal to the FH100: The enormous battery power (6,7Wh!). A second battery is not necessary under normal circumstances.
- Equal to the FH100: Amazing continuous shooting, the pale leaves all other current cameras appearance. Up to 40 frames / sec. In almost full resolution have already led to the greatest snapshots.
I admit that the functionality already provides all kinds. When I was letting on some of the new "gimmicks", arise quite interesting and appealing results. But even that is always in the eye of the beholder.
My opinion: At the moment I know of no better overall package for a point-and-shoot camera than the ZR-100.
Therefore there is a strong buy recommendation from me!
