Does what the title promises. A multi-faceted compilation of articles from scholars of different academic disciplines around the topic of cultural psychology of immigrants. Mahalingam is a US scholar and many of the articles deal with "typical" US problem: such as "model minority" image of Asian immigrants or shedding light on the different notions of "blackness". HOWEVER, it is so deeply interesting for people outside of the US (us Europeans) Because many of the thoughts and ideas can be Transferred to a EU context. Anyway, a similar work uniting scholars from the rest of the world, Europe, Asia, Africa, Could shed light on even more questions. The strentgth of the book is its interdisciplinarity, as it unites scholars from anthropology, sociology, psychology and more around a common topic, each taking its own unique approach and Treating its own unique question. Highly recommendable.
I purchased the book secondhand, had a communication with the Seller Because I needed it on a special date and it all went smoothly.
