So I contacted by phone the Customer Service:
The very unfriendly staff member made me feel irascible directly what customer service at Philips means you pampte me, the fault lying here with me. I had the brew group probably not cleaned regularly or else would do something wrong. So then the conversation was over.
Next test 2 weeks later:
Again I was told, the fault lies with me. In addition, I should change the grind on the coarsest level! I was very puzzled and asked the employee how can it be that there are five ways the grinding adjustment, but I just can choose coarsest! I received no answer and only stated once again sure to clean the brewing unit and lubricate.
3. attempt:
I launched an online chat on the Philips Customer Centre. The employee I described the facts again. He also pointed out to me that the machine was not defective. Rather, I should perform a decalcification. I said that I do that regularly. It was not followed. The staff further explained the descaling process to the last detail. Then he asked me to put the grinder on a coarser level to clean the brewing unit, and to lubricate the Brew Group. Before I could answer, he left the chat.
4. Experiment:
I wrote an email to the customer service. Again I told all the facts. 3 days later I received a call. Again, I was asked to clean the brewing unit and greased to carry out the decalcification and to provide the grind very roughly! So I put the grinder on the coarsest level. Result: The coffee tasted not particularly good, and my problem changed anything.
5. Experiment:
Another call to the customer service. The staff pointed me - how could it be otherwise - out to clean the brewing unit and perform to fat to convert the freeness and decalcification.
I was just about to bite into the phone, and informed him that I have already done in recent weeks dozens of times, but there is still the old problem.
His response: He asked me to make the coffee strength to the lowest setting! This results in combination with the coarse grinding degree to the fact that out of the machine instead of coffee only an unpalatable, brownish broth flows. I informed the gentleman on the phone with well. He answered me that he knows that. However, I should trying to know whether the machine works at all. Because then it would be to not a warranty case ACTION !!!
I was now more than angry and let it feel also the employees.
His last message was something like this: You can use the machine to make sending. It is then checked and sent back to you. That will then be charged to you !!!!!
Then he hangs up.
I therefore advise all potential buyers and buyers of this machine off!
I will buy in the future no products Philips more.
