I do not have that countdown problem with my coffee. One good program the desired time of departure and pressing the start button, a red light comes on, and the start-up is automatic at the specified time. If a second time you press the start button, another indicator lights and is the immediate departure. It's been five weeks and I have no complaints. It is true that to remove or replace the récipiant there is a small resistance but it is due to the non-drip and I was able to observe the phenomenon on other coffeemakers, even great brand. That said it is a little more lègère you simply keep to place or remove the récipiant. If the coffee is good and it fulfills its function. It should be even with the obvious purpose but for the price .... !!!!
