The pan is absolutely awesome!
I use meantime no other more.
But there is a small learning curve and first I was just before despair:

The pan came with a small info sheet "(or similar Persil) briefly rinse with detergent" on something like stand. At first I thought it was a funny translation errors, and washed them with normal washing up liquid from.

Second attempt with Persil: I let the pan one hour soak: The liquor was light gray and everywhere in Persil were these little blue beads, the pan was suddenly completely blank.

I used coconut oil and potatoes and salt. The coconut oil does not smoke himself and is very well suited.

The result was a beautiful first patina. Not burnt fat but beautiful brown iron. Approximately in the color as fawn spark plugs.
This process I have repeated again and then produced the world's best potatoes.
My two tips for potatoes:
1. Only use as fat lard. (Pork or butter)
