Actually, it is already the back cover of the CD, in which musical direction it Morten Harket has slyly again: Delicate and cuddly pop with lots of acoustic and handmade sounds, especially the guitar plays an important role in the music of this work. For still ingenious and unique voice of Morten these musical entertainment fits quite well and succeed a few wonderful songs. Finally, A-ha in her long career had such phases and thus BROTHER sounds slightly surprising and new. One might almost think that Mr. Harket musically worked up again, and what A-ha successfully made him for decades, and so comes to the electronic Synthpopalbum OUT OF MY HANDS now the rock-inspired BROTHER. Ok, I know that this view is not fair and just in this case it may be a burden to fast for Morten, that his voice is always first connect with A-ha.

Songs like DO YOU REMEMBER ME? and WHISPERING HEART has to quickly internalized by its sweeping nature and the catchy melodies convince immediately. The cool and slightly edged SAFE WITH ME with its beautiful guitar sound is as one who convinces fully. Much feeling is in the Ballad There is a place that lives only of Morten's voice and the intense piano sound. Worth mentioning in my opinion still the song End of the Line of comes across quite rocky and casual. Otherwise, the music runs in unspectacular and quite a controlled manner, no outliers, neither up nor down. The one or the other salient point or spectacular musical surprise the album would have done well and then also providing real surprises. So it's just a beautiful pop album, with no outstanding strengths and weaknesses without total.

Is beautiful in any case, the design of the album in a great black and white, with all lyrics and stylish portraits of the artist. Buy, you can probably also the work safely, if you like the work to date by Mr. Harket. I'm missing just a bit more verve and pizzazz in this CD.
