When Martin Gore times does not care about Depeche Mode and is let off the leash, it comes with such a bizarre work as "Counterfeit 2" from the studio! Parallels to Depeche Mode are Because Martin's voice clearly audible! The sound is, however, trippy and strange! Here skin Martin listeners sounds and melodies to the ears that would fit neither for the charts even for the radio! This album is recommended only for diehard fans, or people with a very idiosyncratic musical taste! Martin is indeed very little interest in Soundtüffteleien, but with "Counterfeit 2", he shows that he is able to breathe quite a song and live in a very unusual way! A somewhat strange electronic atmosphere pervades the album, leaving the listener feel strange! It's a pretty good album, what the listener has to get used only once, but it ignites then! Martin, you're really slanted!
