The Flippers are music history, and it almost looked as if this fall a bit quiet and gray, because a new Flippers album that always comes traditionally the beginning of autumn in the record stores would no longer exist as of this year. Anyone who has visited the farewell tour, which, however, knew that one third of Flippers not want to finish the musical career. But who would have expected that there is virtually seamless continuation? So Olaf sets with "thousand red roses" not only has breathtaking ease a musical highlight of the German pop scene before, so he creates a sensation, with probably even the largest Flippers fans (the reviewer included) did not expect. It's great what you get to hear on this CD. Experiments must not fear, but there is no variations on old Flippers songs - though Olaf remains undoubtedly true of Flippers tradition, but manages each song to put his own personal stamp. The album "A thousand red roses" is something like a concentrate of beautiful melodies, refreshing lyrics and loving arrangements, and it shows the German pop in all its beauty. When you hear the first few bars of the theme song you will be carried away immediately and go on a romantic trip, you always want to do over and over again. The sound of each song is so clear and complex that one can discover new musical nuances every time. With the texts Olaf will certainly roll no problems, however, beautiful stories have emerged that sometimes funny "You're so sweet as marzipan", sometimes quiet and thoughtful "No man is an island", even making courage "Every departure signals a new beginning "touch the heart of the listener. The dreamy ballad "Deeper than the ocean" even surprised with a gospel choir in the chorus. The album "A thousand red roses" has absolutely no weaknesses and is not only the musical highlight of this autumn, but certainly also hit album of the year. Dear Olaf, you have done everything right - the Flippers fans have a new musical home found.
