After the hit "Royals" is already for weeks with me in heavy rotation, I was very excited about the first work of the young artist. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Apart from the already mentioned track I like only "Tennis Court", which I already knew well. Already on the EP I liked only 2 songs. The only new track which unfolds me on the album completely convinced me and almost hypnotic effect is, "400 Lux". Overall, the evidence here is begun, that it is not able (yet) to provide enough exciting material in album length. The ballads bore me so much that I Skippe them all. The singing always moves in the same range, high notes she can not sing obvious overall rather soporific. The lyrics go in the same direction: "I'm so bored." I think there was once again taking advantage of the young age (16!) Creates an artificial hype, is the Lorde spätestestens fall prey to the next album. In particular, the media uproar in the US makes me worry about a one-hit wonder. At the aforementioned "Royals" that manage high chart places occupied world, comes at least from my point of view no other approach track. I am very angry about how Lorde is burned by her label, she is a great talent and just needed a little time to gather ideas for songs for an album.
