Phone se OK, bad Support

The Gigaset S820 is actually a decent phone.
The touch screen works properly: While it is not as sensitive as with a smartphone, you sometimes push a little harder, but otherwise works the actually good.
The feel of the phone is OK, the plastic feels good.
The voice quality is in normal mode properly, speakerphone is also fine.
The navigation in the menus is also good speed of equip.
When the phone in the charger plugged either a digital or analog clock is displayed, which I find a useful feature.
Otherwise you have on the homescreen of the phone all the useful information immediately at hand: clock, date, alarm and you can then configure to other options (call logs, phonebook) for display on the home screen. Which can then be accessed directly via Topuchscreen.
The scroll in the phone book or the call list is a bit uncomfortable because the area for scrolling (the display) is a bit small.

So much for the hardware that I would go with 4 stars berwerten.Leider there point deduction for the lousy support:
On the website are several Dateiene for months not runterladbar. I wanted, for example, download my new QuickSync software for the phone in the version 8.3. The link does not work for months.
Upon request, the support with the note that the link does not work you only get blah back:
I'm sorry that we are still having technical problems with the download, our team is working on this problem, we ask for your understanding.
That is a fact, which I have is something to think about when it comes to product support. The team is apparently - at what pace whatsoever- still off, the download of the latest firmware 8.3 and Quicksync on the Gigaset website is not until today. (Firmware can, however, about the 8.0 software update Quciksync directly)
These are just the things where you realize that Gigaset just no longer belongs to Siemens as many assume here wrongly. Unfortunately, the selection has become quite narrow in the range of DECT phones.
Overall, the phone is OK, but one may expect a more rounded overall package at the price where boars is also the Produktsuppport better.
