An incomprehensible for me weak point is the availability of the memory card.
I wanted to use the machine as Navi and to have non-permanent follow-up costs, for offline use the map of Germany Download (for Sygic GPS units) with a size of about 690 MB. This is truly not stunningly large amount of data.
The mobile phone tried this card store in about 1 GB of internal memory and reported: No space available. The map of Austria with 70MB fit just so on it, but then came the constant reports of excessive memory consumption. A trigger of the external memory card, which is sufficiently large with 32 Gb is not possible.
I felt reminiscent of the days of 286iger computer, where a lot of effort had to be teased out of storage a few kb, so that the system was running, also a current smartphone should just work and do what the user expects, without an entry in the Androidprogrammierung presuppose.
The use of external SD card has been let to other media data change without problems.
Maybe this vulnerability by Samsung will be fixed with an update.
Must I had to drive through Berlin with Google Navigation. Several times I should turn left, but did not go because of construction sites. The subsequent recalculation of the route needed time. One would have it a little to put your feet up and have to wait for the result. Well, that's maybe a GPS or Google problem.
I'll keep the phone because it does nevertheless works very neat and I was excited to buy the robustness.
The weak point of "memory management" is can hopefully be clarified yet.
