EF 70-300mm L IS 4f - 5.6f (about 1kg) and is normally too heavy for it but it just so but still heavier lenses of course not recommended. For professionals and the heavy use DSLR Well I recommend eg .: Manfrotto. I use this tripod for temporary emergency because with telephoto lens but rarely until I a Manfrotto tripod can buy me me. Of course, give it as very large price differences between this tripod and Manfrotto but quality costs something, and can buy a professional DSLR, heavy lenses is also still there.
