After two decades of Nikon I have made the switch to the Pentax K-3. Decisive were the splash seal and the lower overall weight of Pentax equipment. Now, after three months of use I can say that the K-3 has exceeded my expectations and the comparably priced competitive models (not only from Nikon) is often in the shadows. For the often rough use out in the field, there is probably no better DSLR. The K-3 does not have any real weaknesses, but some great additional features, such as something from me involuntarily under the harshest conditions (and far above the specification "splash protection") tested housing seal, the built in case anti-shake or the way better than Nikon dissolved ISO Auto. The service is in my opinion even more intuitive and fluid than I was used to from Nikon, which makes now and then a few more quick snapshots.
