Glasses (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The mid-eighties, Heinz Rudolf Kunze could count to the first guard of the German rock musician. The halls, which he filled, were not smaller than that of Grönemeyer or Westlife. Who wants to know why the government should listen to this CD only. Polyphonic pop and rock sounds paired with thoughtful german lyrics. Musically it's all over the place. The ballad "All a lie" was a chart success, "If you do not come back", the love letter to an Elapsed for many Kunze fans of favorite song. In autobiographical Siebenminuter and title song "glasses" Kunze sings his own life, the weird loner to the celebrated musician. The other pieces are the best. Wars and crime, drunkenness and sensuality, rape and psychosis: There is no issue that can not sing Heinz Rudolf Kunze! For quite a few fans there is Kunzes best album, certainly it is that which marks the culmination of his success as a performer. (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
