Professional PC steering wheel with G-sensor control

After my old Formula Force GP steering wheel from Logitech did not survive the recent relocation, replacement was needed. As I sit on SteelSeries as a manufacturer of high-quality gaming hardware for quite some time, I was therefore looking forward to the SRW-S1. Granted, even if I can call my own above average racing games, so I was 'Simraceway' hitherto unknown. More on this later. To briefly to the Wheel 'I'm thrilled!

SteelSeries combines the well-known of the Wii concept, steering motions by G-sensor, with a professional button layout. The advantage of the SRW-S1 over traditional 'stand-steering wheels' is the freedom of movement. While the wheel is attached to a cable, but this is a few meters long. One can comfortably sit in his chair and pull out. After a few rounds you will notice the difference. A disadvantage, there are also (as is often): You have to hold the steering wheel in your hands, which is why this tired after a few hours. After a time you get used to it and can also play with 3 to 4 hours at a time, at first but that is unusual.

The SRW-S1 is compatible with most racing games' at least with the 'more professional'. NFS World runs just who adjusts the registry. This is not rocket science and can be found online very good descriptions. But you have to lend a hand, which should be fair to say. The workmanship is as usual from SteelSeries, convincingly well. Although the SRW-S1 is made entirely of plastic, but the hand strap and the rear shifting, braking and gas-buttons are rubberized. Likewise, the controller for driving aids and the little directional pad. The keys have an audible and tactile feedback. Here there is nothing wrong.

Now few words about 'Simraceway'. The game is a free online racing sim and has its own Physic system. Is at least as on the website. I would describe the current status rather than Beta. The graph has earned here and there some subtleties. The Deteilgrad also. However, the drivability convinced. The race against other players to be fun. With the included $ 10 play money you can not afford some bonuses (new vehicles). Against a F1 2011 GTR Evolution or there is (as yet) not on. It is the only race simulation in which the speed LEDs function (without Regestry hacks).

My Conclusion
I am super excited about the SRW-S1. It's a good steering wheel, thanks to G-sensor control something different, and works with most games without problems. Top quality, functional design good key assignment. Currently the best value for money.
