I bought this headset because I wanted to have a good "work unit" - I play a lot online and use this TeamSpeak (a program for voice conferences, is very often used in online games) - for communication, therefore had to be me understand the importance of well and good to understand, good sound was just bonus for me.
Thus this headset was particularly interesting because of the separate volume control for speech and sound.
My Experiences:
- The microphone is very sensitive, but takes no errors and distortions, I am always well understood.
- The sound quality is good, there are no dropouts, no frequency interference, no dull or tinny sound.
- The headset is for people with large heads (like me) very suitable, it can be adjusted well, the settings do not slip on its own, the headset is not suppressed.
- The earphones are a good size and well padded. To me, they protect me well enough from outside noise
- The cable is more than long enough, I can move during use and even get up.
- The individual control (bass / sound volume / voice volume) does not work for me, or perhaps I have misunderstood something; For me, the regulator for the sound volume works as a main controller, to say it sets the maximum volume for everything (sound and conversations), the regulator for the call volume can only turn down, so it is not possible to adjust voices louder than sound. The bass control works as it should. I can not rule out that I might have a defective copy as I could not to test with another copy.
- The headset is not driven by my laptops and PCs at the start when it's plugged in at startup (I use only the jack plug) - the PC behaves indeed as if a headset is connected (ie the boxes are turned off), but there is No sound through the headset. I have to unplug the headset once when the PC desktop, making it found the headset, and is driven, with other headsets I had no such problem. Again, I can not rule out a defective copy. Interesting that this problem is occurring only in systems that use a Realtek sound chip, maybe a driver issue?
Conclusion:
Apart from minor annoyances (see above) a solid piece of hardware that its duties well fulfilled. It's definitely better (especially with regard to the separate volume control for voice and sound), but it is possible worse.
Who does not want to invest so much for a headset gets here a copy that does its job well, is durable and can be used thanks to the included USB adapter cross-platform.
