Could you criticize the lack of a charger (Sony BC-TRX), which may have to be purchased separately. Is there also comes bundled along with spare battery particularly favorable (Sony ACCTRBX accessory kit incl. NP-BX1 battery). Otherwise the battery can of course directly into the camera with the supplied AC adapter with microUSB connection. The external charger charging is however almost twice as fast (2h15m instead of 4H), also this is abroad used as operable with 100-240V.
Incidentally, the battery of the WX350 is the same as that for the Sony RX100 (all models). Anyone who speculates on future upgrades, can straight on using the battery pack and charger shell.
To take full advantage of the qualities of the camera, a firmware upgrade is recommended first to version 2.0 (see Sony website). The latter is only the end of August 2014 and appeared unlikely to still be partly filled with the currently (as of October 2014) delivered cameras.
And here's a tip for optimum sharpness of the images. The camera offers 3 automatic modes:
a) Intelligent Auto (green camera icon) creates a single image with Scene Detection
b) superior automatic (yellow camera icon) created an installation image from a plurality of differently exposed images
c) Programmed Auto (P symbol) created a frame, only aperture and shutter speed are controlled, in particular ISO and focus can be freely selected
Even if you) can always take good pictures in the modes a) and b, you should prefer the P-automatic normally because the ISO range and the focus area can be set manually only here what the sharpness of the images a very good effect ,
Set in the "Camera Settings, tab 3," the ISO to the value "100" and the focal area on "middle". So you always get nice sharp and low-noise pictures. During the day, thanks to image stabilizer freehand. In rooms and in the dim light a tripod is a must, so you do not want to use the flash. The flash shots succeed in P mode, but surprisingly well, which is probably due to the good including automatic white balance.
If you would like to use indoors or at twilight a tripod or flash, or can, you can also use the superior or intelligent automatic, but then again, if necessary, with more noise.
Wonder should especially in night shots expect (without flash) from such a small camera of course. Here the small sensor in conjunction with the not very high aperture of the lens just takes its toll. Who wants more, must have recourse to the Sony RX100-III, and that is stop unfortunately again several times more expensive, thicker / heavier and does not have a 20x zoom.
In short, this camera is just fun! Used correctly (P-automatic!) Is the DSC-WX350 is a really fun, high-quality take-along camera with which you can create great photos, because of the small sensor size with certain restrictions when shooting at night.
