And that's praise and criticism in a. Almost all of the 14 songs is really great to hear and fun. Also the sound is again typical and unmistakable Awolnation and therefore unique, given its combination of rock, electro, pop melodies and punky Parts. If you have heard it once, you can see him out of 1000 other bands. Something you may not necessarily have a lot of bands say. The individual songs are indeed very different in pace and alignment, but not inharmonious. On the contrary, they work well, precisely because they are so different and make the musicianship of Awol once again demonstrated.
What I still have to criticize, is that my total on the second album by Aaron Bruno the absolute highlights are missing, which were still present in abundance on the predecessor. As I said, all the songs are really good, but hardly a trigger me the absolute wow from. Most likely meets the still on the starters "Run" and "Woman Woman". The former, because he is so unusually calm and monotonous starts and I have still asked at the first hearing, what's the point. But the song increases scary and at the end is well prepared for all that is yet to come. "Woman Woman" in contrast, does have a somewhat banal text, but it reminds me most closely to its predecessor by its unconditional danceable and the almost perfect mix of quiet and faster parts.
To make it short, more Anspieltipps are "Hollow Moon", "Jailbreak", "Kookseverywhere" and all the rest except "Lie Love Live Love" and "Drinking lightning" who I like least on the album.
