The "above-average" focal length of 17-70 have a very positive effect. Since you can always bring out a bit more than in the gänigen max. 50 lengths. Thus, it is also good for portrais usable because the slight slope to telephoto blurs the background nicely.
The focus is working, depending on the light, precise and sharp. Although I belong rather to those who ask rather focus manually, but with moving subjects I take he prefers to AF and regret this decision ever. Inside, it looks like for some time and flies over the sharp-point. But that may be due to the combination with a Sony. Here the AF error is known and is enhanced by Sigma with an update.
Pleasant is the lock. Thus one fixed withdrawable Zoom (only 17mm possible). To safely store it is estimated this function. Even leaving the Kammera only Draped times you feel a bit safer.
Vignetting is not really noticed. At most in the corners at full aperture. After 1-2 steps dimming but guarantees nothing more to see.
Aufpasssen you have but with Chromatic Aberration. Typically, the images are sharp. CA are / seem rather rare to come - so far only 17 to ~ 25mm. This you can easily remove the PC. Which are also relevant for Pixelpeeper. From 35mm (with matching visor) so far I could expose nothing.
Totaly's image performance and good I am very satisfied. Therefore, I'm wearing this lens as a standard at the Kammera - especially as a favorable focal length range is covered.
In an illustration of max 1: 2.7, it is available as a useful macro. However, one needs a really steady hand, because the focus ring is this something too coarse and the AF is simply unusable.
Macro photography is possible, but as I said: A steady hand is an absolute must!
Alternatively, could help, such as Foton F-ring focus ring FRG12 (focus lever for DSLR or camcorder, diameter 70-75 mm) a Fokusierhebel. Have no experience with it but I could share.
Abzugt a star could be considered for gambling with the AF; so you should check it once rather leave to fetch Guaranteed 100% out are really worth it!
While there are already those who are stuck with the "Compatible with A65-77" stickers, but unfortunately that is no guarantee.
Addendum:
After I have my objective now returned for re-adjustment of the AF I am completely thrilled. Now the part operates smoothly and fail! You see: it is anyway! Forget these focus problems from before, which indeed explain just guesses because of sluggish AF.
