"RETURN TO BLUES ROOTS"

The new studio album of the furious Canadian blues guitarist / singer / songwriter of 2014 marked his return to his blues roots in singing and playing in a musical mixture somewhere between Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Lenny Kravitz. The publication does all commercial, current trends aside, and so tries to establish with the audience an emotional connection without chumming it. This works also partly awarded with the light-album tracks like "Fade Into You", "Better Days", the furious instrumental "Triumph" and the groovy blues hammering "Blues Is not Nothing but a good woman on your mind" and "Sailin 'Shoes". But some dark Brutal Blues numbers also bestow an intense, depressive mood, which is very elusive. With the result of an uncompromising rough blues album with dark guitar riffs that will not meet everyone's taste. Repeated Listen here highly recommended to capture the artistic energy and creativity of the genius musician. The disc is certainly not Sayce's best work, but in any case his uncompromising work to date.
