Ruby Blue is distinguished in many ways from Moloko concept. Above all, it shows in the more common used ensembles that require the vocals by vertrakten structures more and thereby let Roisin Murphy's voice seem even more expressive and wonderful. In the Moloko works here and there an unnecessarily drawn into the length piece Stohl repeatedly in between, without actually musically essential is that expressed. In Ruby Blue is found, however not a single piece which is longer than about 5 minutes, which is not at the same time said that Roisin Murphy has entered the mainstream of minorities.
Ruby Blue is musically quite a quiet corner - not to say - get more mature than the previous albums.
The lyrics are pretty catchy and to act uniformly without cheap, simple or cheesy. Highlight this certainly the story "Dear Diary" and the onomatopoeic "Ramalama Bang Bang".
Four Stars there because one. The quick-change artist Roisin Murphy, who throws herself once in a smart suit, sometimes in a skin-tight, shimmering swimsuit, Just have to see live to understand their music and art properly
Roisin Murphy is more than music and is artistic Moloko certainly in no way inferior.
