Fallen Empires (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Snow Patrol was founded in 1994, but as yet under a different name. Because of a dispute the guys hot now as they are called today. True success is the band only since her album "Final Straw", which includes the sensational hit "Run". In Germany, the success was still slow in coming and only came through en masse Promo and using the series "Grey's Anatomy" in the song "Chasing Cars" was played. Too bad that the band has previously found in Germany hardly attention. But then, the song and the album "Eyes Open" sold great. This was followed by another album, a Best Of and now with "Fallen Empires" the sixth studio album, which in Germany is by far the most successful launch of Snow Patrol lay ... Rightly so the album is great!

1. I'll Never Let Go
Good start! While not the best song on the album, but definitely a really good song with nice beats and a good chorus. 4/5

2. Called Out In The Dark
What a song! He simply is fun, has great beats and if you have heard it once, you want to hear it over and over again. The perfect first single! 5/5

3. The Weight Of Love
A typical Snow Patrol song, as we know from the previous albums. Catchy and a chorus, in which you have to just move! 4.5 / 5

4. This Is not Everything You Are
Second single and a great choice! A power ballad with a text that makes us contemplative. Beautiful and great singing, nothing more is there to say! 5/5

5. The Garden Rules
"You will never know how much I love you", simple song, but says so much. Nice and quiet ballad in the singer Gary Lightbody his voice good opportunity to express! 5/5

6. Fallen Empires
Probably gewöhnungsbedüftigste song on the album, and then another title donors. By no means a bad number, but different. Fast, dynamic and long! 4/5

7. Berlin
Stopover? Short song without text (Ah's not counting). Nice, but not really a song that the album would have had. 3/5

8. Lifening
Again a beautiful ballad with a meaning text, great singing. 4.5 / 5

9. New York
Sensational, terrific. When I heard this song for the first time the spit me stayed away. A quiet ballad, sung terrific and with goose bumps hazard in the chorus. The text comes close, as the vocals of Gary Lightbody. WOW! 5/5

10. In The End
It is again faster. This song resembles old Snow Patrol songs and fans do not need to say that that's a good sign you. Good, catchy song, cool beats! 4.5 / 5

11. Those Distant Bells
Another Ballde, again a beautiful song. Something straightforward, but the chorus is fantastically with the support of a female voice! 4.5 / 10

12. The Symphony
For the last time there will be a little faster, at least in the Snow Patrol Style! A good song, in which the chorus just have paddles with the head and the feet. 4.5 / 5

13. The President
Another ballad, once again proving Snow Patrol that they can not go wrong in this area. Great Lyriks, fantastic singing ... just a beautiful song! 5/5

14. Broken Bottles Form A Star (Prelude)
Allegedly is already the next Snow Patrol album in the works, and the end of "Fallen Empires", read: This piece is the first song of the new album to be. Not a bad idea, and as instrumental finale really good! 4/5

The Deluxe Edition also offers a DVD with live performances by famous Snow Patrol songs. Live they are just a big hit, especially frontman Gary Lightbody's always everything, so fans should perhaps rather resort to the Deluxe version and look forward to the tour in February 2012!

What remains to be said than that "Fallen Empiires" has become a great album that Snow Patrol in a couple of songs shows a new side, but overall have remained true to their style and have super processed texts indipedent to grandiose songs!
