After I installed everything via CD, I wanted to start SilverFast, which unfortunately did not go. The appearance on the screen is slightly fiddly. That after 15 years of development, a better GUI comes across, with clear icons, large fonts is still very surprising.
Unfortunately, the software does not recognize the scanner, although the turn starts the software on the computer when you press one of the two scan buttons.
Very good I think there is a hotline that can be accessed via a normal phone number. Thus use to me in the support out my Telekom Flatrate. So three plus for this nowadays exceptional service.
And it is on Friday, 28.12. (!) Also speak a competent person.
Unfortunately, the result is ultimately very unsatisfactory. The consultant obviously knew immediately what the problem is: That the SilverFast 8 software recognizes the Plusteck scanner at all, you have in the Windows Device Manager, the built-in HD webcam shut down, just Soden HP scanner / printer. That's Software as 20 years ago. That must not be. It appears in this regard when starting no warning. To run a software that I need to put tens of units out of service only!
For me a clear knock-out criterion. And then plus this frikelig small icons which can be interpreted only by the tool tips. En clear NO-GO.
