Cycle Ender, Volume 2: White Noise (Paperback)

Customer Review

A beautiful - and very unexpected - after the first volume of the saga of Ender.

The pace of change at all, the decor is not the military framework to vaguely totalitarian evocations of the first novel, but a small human community on a planet barricaded shut-limit because it is home to the only existing alien species (after the extermination of beetles by Ender): the Piggies.

If the first novel linked the fear of the unknown and violence reflex, it refers more to the will driving two completely foreign communities trying to understand - with the excesses that implies.

In reading, the whole evokes a bit "Hundred Years of Solitude" (in much less ambitious, of course). The novel begins in any case the quest for redemption Ender, the "Xenocide" reviled on all human planets, with sensitivity to the intimate workings of the human soul that is the mark of Orson Scott Card.

A devour!
