The unit is quiet and gentle shave. The old Philips, who jumped over the blade because of a broken plastic plate, caused -ungeduscht- itching and reddening of the skin, but cut through each face scrub. This makes the shaver without drawbacks, even without previously soften skin and hair. For fine work I had previously used a Braun (with a four-day beard is the not clear), which now seems redundant. (If a hair is incredibly stubborn, there's still the real blade). In wet mode I have not tried the device. Is a little expensive for my Gersch Mack, in retrospect, I'm satisfied.
