Slade goes 80ies Pop

That should probably be the test of Slade, sounding even mid-80s "modern". Well - at that time were just sticky-sweet keyboards and synthesizers currently. So therefore the individual titles were vigorously "roughed up".

Unfortunately, the songwriting is not always original - "All Join Hands" acts as the clone of "My Oh My" and "Hey Ho Wish You Well" there was sometimes even as "Run Run Away".

What remains is a collection of songs that played fast and not boring are consistent as "Myzsterious Mizster Jones" - where you but just not thinking of Slade, when you hear it. The most striking example is "Little Sheila".

There are, thank God, even the odd Hauf-top-steam hammer as we know it from the house of Slade ("Time To Rock", "I'll be there"). And "Walking on Water, running on alcohol," it would have been really verdent to be recognized as a single.

All in all there are better Slade albums, but really bad the Verrecheralbum is now not.

The bonus material would "Less is more!" should apply; so you have to make compromises in parts. The listing of single B-sides is indeed in order and for the true fan a treat, ...
